Anthony is a proud Aboriginal man who has family ties to descendants of the Awabakal people from the Newcastle area. He entered the Recruitment Industry in late 2007 and became a Senior Account Manager with a portfolio of reputable industry clients and an on-hire workforce population of up to 200 at any given time.
Following his true passion, Anthony began employment with Aboriginal Employment Strategy (AES) in 2011, where he held various roles including National Account Manager overseeing the company’s Group Training Operations. He was responsible for supporting 10 Field Officers that mentored and managed some 240 – 300 Indigenous trainees each year. A further promotion saw him move into a Client Relationship Manager role that focused on Workforce development and the creation of pathways for Aboriginal people. Anthony focuses on working at a grass roots level, identifying that this is beneficial to establishing and building strong community connections. He is driven by helping Aboriginal people into employment and providing culturally competent mentoring that leads to sustainable employment outcomes for both employee/trainee and each host employer.
