Julian Genn LLB

Director

Julian has over 20 years’ experience in the recruitment industry and has worked across multiple industries as a Recruiter, Business Development Manager and Senior Executive.  He founded JobTrail in 2015 and led its operations as Managing Director for nearly a decade, taking it from a division of WorkPac (the largest privately owned recruitment company in Australia), to a standalone Supply Nation certified business.

In establishing JobTrail, Julian sought to create an enabler for the breakdown of common barriers which are faced when sourcing, selecting, employing, and training Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia. He spent his time engaging with local Indigenous communities, Elders and Traditional owners. The business has now evolved to engage with clients, candidates, and community on a much deeper level across the full lifecycle of employment. He oversaw the implementation of cultural training programs and consultancy work as part of JobTrail’s expanded suite of services.

Julian was admitted to the Supreme Court of Qld as a qualified lawyer in April 2018. He is also a Director with Not-For-Profit organisation Cardiomyopathy Australia New Zealand and leads their governance team. He remains as a Director of JobTrail today supporting the General Manager as required.
