Julian started his career in recruitment back in 2004 and has a wealth of experience across recruitment and client partnerships.
He was new to the industry when he started with WorkPac as a Recruitment Coordinator based in Brisbane. He continued to develop his skill set as he progressed into various roles including Recruitment Team Leader, Business Development Manager and Business Centre Manager.
During his time with WorkPac, he established ongoing business relationships with leading companies in Civil/Construction, Electrical and Manufacturing in Brisbane. He then moved to Mackay to gain experience in the Mining Industry and successfully managed the Mackay Business Centre for 3 years.
Upon returning to Brisbane in early 2015, Julian established JobTrail – an Indigenous focused Recruitment company. In establishing JobTrail, he sought to create an enabler for the breakdown of common barriers which are faced when sourcing, selecting, employing and training Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia. Over the next 5 years, he grasped the opportunity and set about engaging with local Indigenous communities, Elders and Traditional owners.
In 2020, JobTrail’s rapid growth has meant that they have added a majority Indigenous Board of Directors to help guide the business through the next phase. Julian will continue with JobTrail as the Managing Director.
Julian was admitted to the Supreme Court of Qld as a qualified lawyer on April 2018.
