Florence Drummond

Florence is a Dauraeb and Wuthathi woman who spent her childhood on Thursday Island before moving to mainland Australia to complete her secondary education.
Having worked across a number of industries, Florence reignited her passion for helping her community while working as a mine site operator. After experiencing the disconnection between operations and policy regarding opportunities to progress, Florence set out to proactively develop her understanding of creating industry specific solutions. Through her own progress, she recognised the shared need with others, which lead to Florence co-founding Indigenous Women in Mining and Resources Australia (IWIMRA), which she continues to lead today.

Joining JobTrail, Florence is looking forward to creating shared value for all stakeholders and delivering measurable outcomes in an effort towards sustainable participation. Florence is striving towards practical inclusion and diversity within the workforce and is committed to contributing to impactful change. She is driven to provide an experience that is accessible, progressive and transparent in the value chain of Indigenous participation.
